I am so sorry to not be able to make it to this event. My husband is having a big birthday and we have a variety of events planned throughout the weekend. My very best to everyone and I really hope I can make it to the next reunion.
I'm hoping to make the happy hour at least. We have a conflict on Saturday. I'm still local to DC, so no excuses. For those of you attending Friday, you'll probably notice I'm 7 months pregnant with baby #3 (first girl, two boys 9 and 2 already). I've been working in the Aerospace and Defense industry since leaving IBM in 2005. I'm with BAE Systems and my husband's with Northrop Grumman - a little household rivalry. I look forward to catching up with everyone in DC. Thanks to Tim et al for organizing and keeping us connected!
I hope you all have a wonderful time this weekend, and I'm sorry that we can't join. Just too much going on here with the kids and general summer activities to sneak away for the weekend. It would be fun to see familiar faces. Hard to believe it's been 20 years since my time there.
Can't make it this year, but wish you all a most successful reunion!
Sorry I won't be able to attend the reunion dinner tonight - it's our anniversary and my wife and I are celebrating.
However, hopefully we will see you around D.C. - we moved back up here from Charleston, SC in January. I'm working at the White House, where I'm Deputy Director of Intergovernmental Affairs and President Obama's liaison to America's mayors. It's been an incredible experience so far, and we're very glad to be in Washington.
