About Us
Price Waterhouse's Office of Government Services business unit employed several thousand people during its 25 years of existence. The diversity of clients, projects, people, and cultures created a unique experience.
Founded in 1973 as the Office of Federal Services, the Office of Government Services name was adopted in 1975 as the scope expanded beyond Washington, DC. During the next two decades, public sector projects sprouted around the country and then globally across six continents. Along the way, the specialized skills within OGS found applicability and high demand among private sector clients.
The Gateway Group name replaced the Office of Government Services name in 1996 to reflect the reality and diversity of clients and people. The Gateway Group name was used until June 30, 1998 when PricewaterhouseCoopers was formed.
Alumi Network
Do you miss the camaraderie, intellectual stimulation, and friendships from these days? Dozens of alums are still with PwC and others are with IBM Business Consulting Services after the acquisition of the consulting division of PwC in October 2002. The rest of the alumni have pursued new employeers, careers, and adventures.
